We've Gone Plastic Neutral

By working with the ZeroPet Foundation, Mountain Falls is the first and only water brand that is plastic neutral. Follow our journey to end plastic waste...

A 'plastic neutral' company is one that removes the equivalent quantity of waste in relation to plastic produced. In our case, through working with the ZeroPET Foundation, becoming plastic neutral means that for every Mountain Falls bottle we sell, we facilitate the removal of two plastic bottles from our environment — meaning that every purchase results in a net-zero plastic footprint. We acknowledge that going plastic neutral doesn’t come close to solving the plastic problem at hand, but we believe this is a step in the right direction.

Naturally-sourced water has one of the lowest carbon footprints of any beverage, and we want the same for our packaging too. That is why we founded the ZeroPET Foundation. Funding and facilitating the collection, processing, and reuse of ocean-bound plastic waste, ZeroPET works in partnership with Recycle 1st to collect and recycle PET bottles from homes, cafes and restaurants. We're not only keeping our environment clean, but ensuring that once you no longer have a need for your PET bottle it will be recycled and transformed into a new product.

Through proceeds generated from the recycled PET, the ZeroPET Foundation is able to support various community projects, including school educational programmes that focus on water safety and the importance of caring for our environment.

Join the ZeroPET Foundation by stocking Mountain Falls in your restaurant or cafe, or
purchasing our water for your home.

PET is recognised globally as a safe packaging material for a wide variety of food products. It is safe, shatterproof, reusable and 100% recyclable. In our view, it makes sense from both an environmental and economic perspective to capture the raw material and energy contained in a plastic bottle and re-use it, instead of consigning it to landfill sites.
